Dragonslayers are highly lauded by the government of the Union of the Northern Isle due to the rampant issue the Sendeliar Subcontinent faces with Dragons. They are individuals with enough Strength and Will to be able to best the beasts that the government and Clan Valeniwin see as an affront to the gods.

The title was initially created by Clan Valeniwin to denote members who have succeeded in taking down a Dragon, with the aim to use the title as a way to incentivize mercenaries that join to eventually pursue that title. However, the title was taken into an official status with the Union of the Northern Isle when the Valeniwin Family managed to gain control of the throne. From this point, the title become equal with that of a Helt, being a touted as a way to guarantee status from an action rather than leaving it up to the whim of the Tlatoani in charge.

The existence of Dragonslayer as a title represents the disdain that the government of the Union of the Northern Isle has for Dragons and the honor and respect they comment shows how fearful the populous is of these beasts and their power.
