The Aethermaris is a large sea that rests within the Aether above the Arcanic Shield. It acts to absorb the radiant Arcanic Energy that radiates upward and restrict most of it within a singular location within the Aether. It exists infinitely in all directions (aside from up/down) and is featureless aside from the Desolation and the rare extrusions of the Arcanic Shield that are created after a universe with more entropy than is standard for disposition passes through the Terminus.
