Backstory and History
Born and raised in the city of Karka, he conducted The Walk at the age of 13, successfully earning the right to call himself an adult and a member of society and returning with a newfound desire to go out and explore the world beyond the mountains. Rhogar joined the Kingdom of Hargea's Military at 15 shortly after leaving Karka, not just as a means of income, but also to learn to fight and to belong to something greater than himself while traveling the Hargean Peninsula.
Shortly after his admission to the army, the Cinderfall struck the nation and caused untold devastation across the countryside. Being pushed into working extreme amounts over what was anticipated, most around him became overburdened, but he remained strong and excelled, being pushed rapidly up the ranks, eventually earning the position of unit Quartermaster. He single handedly provided distribution and management of supplies for several companies managing reconstruction efforts surrounding the city of Goldspire.
One of the officers above him eventually grew tired with the constant work load and began ordering those below him to work less and horde supplies for the soldiers that were being overburdened. Rhogar vehemently disagreed, arguing that they were there to assist and help the citizens and that all effort should go into supporting them. Rhogar wanted to continue helping others and build a name for himself. An argument sparked, eventually leading to a physical altercation that ended with Rhogar beating the officer, arguing that he had no right to lead if he couldn't care about the people he was supposed to protect. This conflict led to his dismissal from the military at the start of 6021PB, without prejudice. Still holding the resolve to aid the people of the Kingdom of Hargea in rebuilding, he wandered the nearby countryside assisting reconstruction efforts wherever he could.
Eventually, he reached Windset Keep and encountered the enclave of Clerics and Paladins that lived there. Drawn into the tales of adventure, glory, and the aid they provided to others along the way that they told him of, he joined along on their next trip. Drawing wisdom from one of the paladins with the group, Aero Killemitore, he sparked his own connection with the gods through the The Dawnbringer and began his own path, fueled by his own promise to do better and punish those who fell short. After years of training with the sword and connecting to his divine promissory blessings, he departed from the group, paying a visit home, and then continuing further west where reconstruction remained ongoing in order to help the people in need. Reaching Bridgerest in 6029PB, he settled in the city and provided aid to its people and the various temples scattered around. Eventually, through work at the temples in the city, he encountered the rehabilitated Cleric, Durnak Faldur, and the Stoutmorin businessman Gundren Rockseeker, who brought him work assisting the people of the city and beyond.
