Phraea Caspian
Level 15 Deep Elnian Sorcerer (Lunar Sorcery)
Phraea Caspian
A Noble from Perintow with
Western Hargean upbringing
Description and Info
Appearance
Phraea, like other Deep Elnis, has rather pristine obsidian grey skin and white hair. Unlike other Deep Elnis, her eyes are a crimson red with flecks of gold within them. She wears her hair long, braided shortly after the nape of her neck in a way that helps cover the burn scars and her bite mark on her neck. Her burns mostly run along her torso and shoulder and are typically hidden by her clothes. Despite her Mutagenic Vampirism, due to receiving the injuries before she turned they cant heal and injuries to the area return to this burned state. Her robes are rather nice for a Wandering Mage, showing off her noble status and position. The dark purple hue of them is custom made to match with her skin and hair while still standing out.
Unique Items or Conditions
Phraea suffers from Mutagenic Vampirism. After agreeing to be turned by Morgan Lachnun during the Burning of Perintow, Phraea was brought into the Lachnun family of Mutagenic Vampires. Following the Battle of Bridgerest, she was elevated to a Kindred Mutagenic Vampire.

Backstory and History
Perintow was a peaceful town; the settlement rested under the Karkan Peaks, north of the Sea of Whispers, within the vast Karkan Wood along an active land route from the Lenurian Capital of Bridgerest and the rest of the Western and Southern portions of the Kingdom of Hargea. The small town prospered as a trade stop, and within a small library, knowledge was traded and stored over centuries. Here, Phraea grew up, learning of history and magic and myth from the multitudes of books and tomes at her disposal. Following in her parents footsteps, she joined them in maintaining the library and copying and spreading its knowledge to travelers that passed through, along with adding more to its collections over the centuries.
With the Cinderfall in 6016PB, the denizens of Perintow believed themselves safe at first, with the town only blanketed in a thin layer of Ash and Soot by the time the clouds that coated the sky receded. However, this was only the beginning. Under the cover of night, hordes of Shamblers made of Ash and Cinder charged the town, attacking everything in sight. The town was set aflame and people trampled each other in an attempt to escape. Her family, along with her, were trapped within their library, their home, as it burned around them. So passionately maintained by her family, it was reduced to ember and rubble in a single evening. Bloodied, bruised, and burned; Phraea managed to free herself from the rubble and crawl into the street. She looked up at the sky towards the Star Bands above. Her family. Her library. Her home. Gone. As she began to lose consciousness, someone stood over her, asking if she wished to be saved from death. As she answered and felt her neck become pierced by fang, her last thoughts were the woman who stood above her, and how her hair reminded her of fire. Not of the one that destroyed her home, but that of the camping trips with her family from long ago...
Phraea woke up several days later in a city she would later learn was Bridgerest. The bustling city was in stark contrast to the small town she once called home, but she adapted quickly. Morgan, the woman who had come to Perintow and saved her, officially introduced herself as the ruler of Lenuria, and as a Vampire who headed the Lachnun Family of Vampires. Phraea was taken under Morgan's wing, given the new family name "Caspian", and given a teacher, Astara Glunrose, to show her the ways of noble life and begin to grasp her new Vampiric Prowess and tendencies. While above her in the nobility, Astara treated her as a sister, giving her a sense of belonging and family within the Citadel of Bridgerest, and integrating Phraea into the new world she had entered. Astara imparted all of her knowledge from millennia as a Vampire, both knowledge passed on to her from Morgan and things she had learned herself, emphasizing that within the walls of Bridgerest that Vampires of the Lachnun Family were treated differently than they would be outside of it, even more so for outside of Lenuria; she pressed that outside of the city, to try and conceal your Vampirism when possible, as the more others knew, the more other Vampires may seek to expel you from what they perceived as their domain, and the more the misinformed commoners would detest your existence.
Once she was settled in with her new life and had a proper grasp on her abilities, starting in 6022PB, Phraea began to accompany Astara on tasks from Morgan that took them to the far reaches of the state, and on rare occasions, as diplomats to others. Seeing the capitals of the Illistrian Empire and the Kingdom of Hargea allowed her to broaden her horizons and understanding of the world outside of the knowledge she had acquired from her old life. In the midst of the end of 6030PB, with reports of growing activity from an organization calling themselves the Dragon Cult within the Southern Inari Ridgelands, and rumors that the Dragon Hunting Organization sponsored by the Union of the Northern Isle, Clan Valeniwin, was sending scouts and other members to the region to accost the cult, Morgan asked Astara and Phraea to meet up with a fellow noble she had sent to the area previously and dig into the matter further.
Astara and Phraea traveled south to the town of Solano, and while Astara spoke with Tarbaw Nighthill on what actions to take next, Phraea scouted the surrounding countryside. After reporting back, Astara decided to stay in Solano for the time being. She wanted to deal with the remnants of a cultist camp that a band of adventurers had uncovered while looking for more information on Clan Valeniwin and its actors. She directed Phraea to head south in pursuit of that party, being told that they had accompanied a researcher of Clan Valeniwin to Nestal and might have more information or leads on the clan's meddling.
