A Sailor from Erisdal with
West Issian upbringing
Description and Info
Appearance
With long reddish brown hair that is almost always kept in a messy ponytail, eye color has blue as the seas he has sailed. Having a prior job as a Sailor, Flint's clothes are always unwashed, smelling of salty sea water with rips and small holes in most of his attire. The pride and joy of his wardrobe, his old Sailor sock, is stained with sweat and carries the scent of decades of wear. He never takes them off and claims that they are his lucky socks. He carries himself with a prideful image, tending to solve his problems with loud, overbearing actions, rather than talking the problems out like a civil individual.
You can't miss Flint in crowd, with his robust personality and the dozens of weapons on hand, he is nearly impossible to forget. Despite his rugged and rough actions, he has a kind side, almost always caring about the people he has saved and his companions that he fights with.
Following his exploration of the Temple of the Fifth Spark Seal, his left leg has been amputated and replaced with a brass Peg-Leg.

Backstory and History
Flint Dankil grew up with salt in his veins and the roar of the sea as his lullaby. Born to a family of hardy Stoutmorin who had traded the cold stone halls of their ancestors for the open waters of the Sea of Solitude, Flint was raised on the deck of the Iron Wave, a sturdy merchant ship crafted by his father. His family—his father Tharkas, his mother Ragna, and his younger brother Torvin—ran a thriving trade business, typically moving goods between the coastal settlements of the various states comprising the Issachar Confederacy. Flint learned the ways of the sea from a young age: tying knots, navigating the stars, and wielding a hammer to defend against the occasional sea monster or marauding pirate.
Life was good, filled with laughter, the creak of the ship’s timbers, and the camaraderie of a tight-knit crew who were as much family as they were employees. Flint thrived in the freedom of the waves and took pride in his role as first mate, helping his father steer the ship and keep their business afloat. But that life ended in fire and blood.
With the spark of the Cinderfall, more and more of their shipments were directed northbound towards the neighboring Kingdom of Hargea, and through waters all but familiar to the Dankil family. One fateful day, as the Iron Wave sailed through open waters on its way to a the northernmost isle of the Confederation, the Middle Sister, the dreaded pirate crew known as the Red Flag descended upon them. The Red Flag were infamous for their brutality, their crimson dragon patterned sails a harbinger of death and destruction. Despite their best efforts, Flint and his family were no match for the overwhelming force of the pirates. The Iron Wave was seized, the crew slaughtered, and Flint was left clinging to wreckage as the pirates disappeared over the horizon with their stolen plunder—and the lifeless bodies of his family.
Drifting for days, and on the brink of death, Flint was eventually rescued by a passing Hargean fishing vessel. Broken in body and spirit, he swore a burning oath of vengeance against the Red Flag. He would not rest until he hunted them down and made them pay for their crimes.
With nothing but the clothes on his back, Flint made his way north-west from the port city of Tarnerie, taking odd jobs and surviving on sheer grit. He soon realized he needed allies and gold if he was ever to return to the sea and reclaim what the Red Flag had stolen. Driven by vengeance and the dream of building a new ship, Flint settled and began working in the metropolis of Bridgerest, determined to find a means to his goals. Eventually, hired by Gundren Rockseeker, he joined with a band of adventurers, lending his brute strength and unyielding determination to their cause.
Now, Flint fights not only for coin but for the chance to rebuild his life and bring justice to those who tore it apart. Beneath his gruff demeanor lies a heart that still aches for the family he lost, but his sorrow fuels his rage, making him a fearsome force on the battlefield. One day, he will return to the sea, and when he does, the Red Flag will see their end. Until then, Flint Dankil walks the path of a warrior, forging a legacy his family would be proud of.
